Before booking a tutoring session anywhere, the most important question is: what specifically needs to improve? Most tutoring services start with session one and figure it out from there. Focus North Academy starts differently. Every engagement begins with an assessment that identifies the exact gap before the first full session starts.
The process starts with a short phone or video call. You describe where your child is struggling, which course or exam is the immediate concern, and what previous tutoring has or has not worked. This call confirms whether Focus North Academy is the right fit and sets the direction for the assessment session.
The assessment session is not a test. It is a structured conversation and walkthrough of the subject material. Devansh identifies exactly where understanding breaks down. For a student struggling in Grade 11 Math, the root gap is often in a Grade 9 or 10 concept. The exam is in Grade 11, but the blocker lives two years earlier. The assessment session finds that.
